It was big, it was noisy, and it was scary, something that terrified the young nekomata. He ran from much of the strange bad-smelling puking beasts that gave up humans in a painful manner... but one human, gentle, offered him food and shelter, something he had never seen before - he was far too used to having to fight for everything he had. He stayed for a month, enjoying the kindness and learning of human culture, and then he was sent back home, something that devastated him. The time, however, remained his firm fascination with human culture for the rest of his life.
[attr="class","dupertext"]Ichiru grew up an orphan in the spirit world, abandoned by his parents to learn how to toughen up. At a young age, he became fascinated with singing and performing, with the human world... and as such, he was often sneaking into the human world as a child and teenager, usually to America since it was easier for him to blend in there. At the age of nineteen, he was picked up by a record company in America, and he took the world by storm with his unique style. Some concerts he appears to have feline ears and a tail, but not always - they're almost always fake metal contraptions, prone to spazzing out and malfunctioning when he needs them most. In recent years, however, he's become more popular in Japan, and as such, he recently moved to Nazo.
His ears and tail can appear and disappear at will - he prefers to hide them when not performing, though they still manifest in the "spirit realm", meaning that he can still move them but humans cannot see them and they go through things in the material realm, also known as just about anything not also in the spirit realm. He prefers to keep his true status as a nekomata a secret, but he's hoping that his position as a famous human pop star will give him a reason for why he can't be evicted this time, especially given that he's not causing trouble.
