rules & regulations
ONE. Please respect everyone on the site, whether they be staff or a member or a guest. It's really not that hard to be a decent human being. Respect people's boundaries, requests, and please warn someone if you will be posting anything potentially triggering. Avoid flaming and OOC arguments.
TWO. The site's rating is a solid PG-13 so please abide by both it and proboard's terms of service. This includes IC threads, OOC threads, PMs, and the cbox. Any failure to abide by this rule will result in a warning for first time offenders, a week long ban for second time offenders, and a permaban for those who manage to break it for the third time. Consequences are this severe because it puts Whodunit? in a tight spot. If you're thread is going to have any triggering content in it, please warn us at the top of it.
THREE. Whodunit? is an account per character roleplay. Please, sign up with either your character's first OR last name and not your ooc alias. This is to make the tagging process easier for everyone involved.
FOUR. We don't have a word count! Post whatever you feel moves along the thread best. After all, quality is better than quantity! As for activity, we don't have any hard set rules. We do have activity checks once a month, though! The exception is if you have decided to enter an event, but the rules for activity will vary from event to event so make sure you read them.
FIVE. You may have as many characters as your little heart desires, but please try to keep the majority of them as active as you can. Also! Please try to make some of every member group if you can to give the site some diversity. As with most sites, Mary Sues and Gary Stus will not be accepted. Please, no godmodding or powerplaying.
SIX. As the site is set in Japan, display names are in the format of last name first name without a comma. If you have a character whose name is in the first name last name format (i.e. someone from America or Europe) feel free to format their name in that manner. Please have your display names in all lowercase.
SEVEN. Face claims are of animanga nature only. Video game face claims are acceptable as well, as long as you use images that aren't 3D in nature. Original art is not accepted.
EIGHT. Avatars are 100x100 so you don't have to worry about making anything that's fancy. Signatures are allowed. The max width is 500 pixels. As for height, use whatever you feel is best - but please, don't make it too big.
NINE. Don't hassle people in the cbox for replies or to answer any character requests you have, as it's both rude and can get lost in the conversation. If you are asked to drop a subject, please do so. There is also no advertising in the cbox, but you may link to resource sites such as GS and FACE.
TEN. And, of course, the most important rule is have fun! This is just a website on the internet, after all, and if you're not having fun, what's the point of it being here?
These rules are subjected to change at any time, so please check back frequently!
